I was born and raised in Iowa, but I've live in Taiwan (off and on) since 1990. I've done many different jobs, mostly involving words or computers, such as translation, writing, and editing, or network administration, web design, etc.. Before coming to Taiwan, I was also a cook, a photographer, and a bindery technician in a print shop.
I'm fascinated by words and ideas, and I love to learn foreign languages. I do either the sudoku or the crossword puzzle every day... sometimes both.
I really love my life here in Taipei. I have a ton of cool and interesting friends, and I live in a great apartment, with a huge patio overlooking a large Park.
Back in my college days, a German girl at my school read my palm in a pub one night. She said, "You will marry very late in life. But when you do, it will be... the best... a wonderful relationship." At the time, I laughed, because I was crazy in love with a French girl. But here I am, 20 years later, and still not married... so maybe she was right after all. ;
